The Rotary year begins on July 1, so our event schedule begins by kicking off the year with the 4th of July Jubilee celebration!   So ... get ready to celebrate America's Birthday with our all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast!

Annual 4th of July Jubilee Pancake Breakfast

Rotary serves up hundreds of pancakes, along with ham, scrambled eggs, juice, milk and coffee to several  hundred hungry patrons each year.  Family friendly!

Resources attained with this community service fundraiser provides scholarships for our students and aids in other community programs such as Peaceful Schools, Open Hearth, and Ready to Smile.

"Where's the Beef?" Raffle

& Apple Pie Contest

This event is filled with live music, lots of food, and open to families.

Who doesn't love Music & Food?  Lots of brats, sauerkraut, German potato salad following a recipe from two native German friends, and pretzels!

The event now incorporates an Apple Pie Contest, with an Apple Pie Queen, who is presented with $75 cash for the win! (2nd & 3rd places awarded $50 & $25 respectively.)

Our fun-fundraiser is our  "Where's the Beef?" raffle basket. $250+ in beef, with an overall value of over $500 in food and gifts.

All You Can Eat Crab Feed

The date for this event changes annually, based on crab availability... but usually around the end of January or first part of February.  The club serves up hundreds of pounds of crab, and provides live music for entertainment.  As always, our profits are used to fund various community services, but a focus of the club is always on literacy.  To that end we provide books and other materials for Head Start, support Peaceful Schools, Students of the month and Scholarships for PHS graduating Seniors.

Scholarship Golf Tournament

Rotary Club of Port Orford and Bandon Crossings team up to raise funds specifically for scholarships, so 100% of the funds raised are placed in the clubs Port Orford Rotary Scholarship Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit.  Each year the principal is used to fund PHS Scholarships.

This event is held in the fall: September or October.  Check our  Current Events page for the latest news on the tournament.

RI President Holgar Knaack Theme is: Rotary Opens Opportunities: “We believe that our acts of service, big and small, create opportunities for people who need our help,” Knaack said. He added that Rotary creates leadership opportunities and gives members the chance to travel the world to put their service ideas into action and make lifelong connections. “Everything we do opens another opportunity for someone, somewhere,” said Knaack.
